How do you get magnetic paint out of the tin?

Subject: Magnetic Paint
This sounds daft, but in the light of all those queries about medieval S&M -
sorry, HANDCUFFS - it's relatively tame.
I am attempting to re-vamp the area of our museum currently devoted to the
Art cart. The niggling annoyance is the noticeboard designed to be a mini
exhibition space for competition winners etc. Pins are out, obviously and I
have been exploring the possibility of magnetic paint. Having found a
supplier, only to be told that you can't use it on wood I am at the end of
my rope, as I have seen it used on MDF before....
Has anyone used this elusive wonder? Could you tell me where you got it?
Does it really not work on MDF or was the surly teenager at B&Q just having
a bad day?
Any assistance would be obsequiously received as it's one of those tiny
things that has the power to drive you somewhat insane....
Many Thanks
