Hi,
The Young Archaeologists' Club is the only UK wide club for children aged 8-16 about archaeology. We run a UK wide membership where children receive a quarterly magazine, go on activity holidays, have access to the Discounted Site Scheme and get information about National Archaeology Days and also the Young Archaeologist of the Year Award.
We also run a network of over 70 branches or archaeological youth clubs, and about half of these are based in museums across the UK. You can find a full list on our website.
The magazine is full of articles which relate both to field and museum archaeology; for instance we recently covered the touring "Treasure: Finding Our Past" exhibition. We would be most interested to hear from museums which are opening new archaeological galleries, putting on archaeological exhibitions or special archaeological events from September onwards for inclusion in the magazine. Information from museums is great, but we can also find some young archaeologists to come and do a review. We would also be interested in anyone who can provide tickets/ publications/ shop items as prizes. All contributions are acknowledged, so we can provide you with lots of free publicity
We have recently produced an attractive new leaflet about the Club and would like to distribute it to as many museums and sites as possible. If you are running archaeological events or exhibitions this summer and would like some then please email:

stating how many you would like. We can send them out in batches of 50, 100, 200, plus.
Don't forget to give a postal address.
If you would like any general information about the Club, then just let me know.
Hope to hear from you.
