Both Beckman and Helena Labs produce ALP isoenzyme kits. There are most
likely other manufacturers as well. The samples are pre-treated with
Neuraminidase and anti placental antibody (separately) before
electrophoresis and incubation with ALP substrate. We interpret the results
against liver and bone ALP "in house" standards.
The detailed methods are outlined in the kits.
