The most obvious aspect of these 'National average rates' are:-
1.The lack of detail does a serum sodium or blood glucose really cost the
same a protein electrophoresis.
2.The clearly dodgy data, for three of the quoted test groups the mean is
outside the range of the upper and lower quartile. While it is
arithmetically possible for a mean to exceed the upper quartile, it is not
possible for it to be below the lower quartile unless some of the costs are
less than zero.
