Use Cedia EDDP assay.

Could I ask what practices are currently in place within the UK as far as
the confirmation of methadone compliance is concerned?
Currently we use the Axsym Methadone assay as a front line screen. This is
not however an assay of EDDP (methadone metabolite) and we're noticing an
increasing number of alleged 'fast metabolisers' who are below the cut off
(200 mg/L)on this assay, however they clearly have EDDP in their urine on
qualitative GC-MS. How are people reporting this sort of eventuality? Am I
going to have to set up quantitative EDDP analysis on the GC-MS or are most
people operating on the 'methadone' cut off?
I know there are EDDP assays out there (e.g. Microgenics CEDIA), however
these can't be run on our LX20s and the CE marking issue has meant that we
can't load them as a user defined chemistry.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, especially any pointers to agreed
guidelines on the subject
Thanks
Ian
