Our response is similar to Richard's, point out the problems of using tumour
markers for diagnosis and suggest they contact us if they really want it
done. We get few responses to this and samples are discarded after a month.

Subject: GP requests for tumour markers
Increasingly we receive GP requests for unspecified tumour markers with
scanty clinical details, dealing with these by phoning the relevant GP
can be a time consuming task. Ignoring them is not an option, any
thoughts on how to deal with these requests in an efficient way?
