Casual Museum Education Assistant Required
Wandsworth Museum, The Courthouse, Garratt Lane, London SW18 4AQ,
requires a temporary Museum Education Assistant to cover a vacancy.
Approximately 21 hours per week for a minimum of 10 - 12 weeks, .
Rate of pay: £12 per hour.
The temporary post requires an enthusiastic and organised person to assist
the
Museum Education Officer in the delivery of Museum Education Services for
Wandsworth Council. Your duties will consist of teaching sessions which meet
National Curriculum requirements for primary aged children. Teaching may
also
be required at other levels, including adults. You will also assist in some
administrative duties, as well as planning, organising and teaching weekend
and holiday activities for children and families.
You must have a relevant degree and teaching experience in a school or
museum
setting. You must be able to teach and communicate effectively with all age
groups.
You must be able to work unsupervised with children.
