Hi Chris,
If you are meaning for users who may have visual impairement, the main thing
about web accessibility is to conform to standards like WC3 for html etc.
We have Dynix WebPac which is Java based which makes it useable less people
by as accessible as it could be. For that reason we are switching to IPAC
which is at least html based. The main reason is that html is accessible to
more visually impaired people because it is able to be interpreted by more
types of the many different types of software in use.
Outside work, I am just about to start an MSc based on electronic delivery
of information by public libraries. If anyone has thoughts or sources, then
I would be interested in hearing of them Particularly users experiences of
the various solutions implemented.
I am aware that a major problem for libraries, is that the web catalogues
available are one part of the the library management system in use. This
can make it difficult to make any quick changes.

Subject: Accessibility options for Web catalogues
Does anyone have a Web catalogue - or know of one - which offers accessible
interfaces?
A comment from a user about our own has got me thinking. From what I can see
the Library of Congress offers nothing, and the BLPC only a very basic
accessibility option.
Chris
