Drop me a line off list, Danny.
However, bear in mind that many, many GPs are shafted as well and the new
contract may have unforeseen effects.
But think of this:
1. Huge shortage of doctors in the UK (Canada, US, etc..)
2. NHS needs doctors to function (only so much nurses can do)
3. No government can survive collapse in health care
4. Most consultants and GPs are getting shafted.
Why? When the ball is in our court, why do so many of us fail capitalise?
As a bare minimum we should at least be comfortable and happy.
Answer: We have only ourselves to blame.
(and don't forget that many within the profession do not want their
colleagues to do well)
