Learning & Development, part of the Public Health Resource Unit, Oxford, are
hosting training events to support the dissemination of best practice around
evidence-based healthcare and management of change.
Venue: Manchester Conference Centre, UMIST, Manchester
Dates: Wednesday 26th February & Friday 14th March 2003
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
These training events will benefit all health and social care professionals
who are striving for best practice. The days will provide a good
introduction and overview to evidence-based healthcare and managing change
and will be aimed at a multi-disciplinary group. To allow a greater level
of detail the programme will include parallel workshops, which means all the
following objectives will only be covered if delegates attend both days.
Objectives
By the end of the event participants will:
* Understand the critical appraisal process and appreciate how it can
be used in practice
* Identify the key skills in facilitating change and develop and
enhance these facilitation skills
* Appreciate how to involve users in changing policy and practice
* Understand change and the importance of managing change
