For the record we only have middle grade cover up to 0100.

Subject: SHO supervision at night
Dear list, I'd appreciate any helpful comments.
I've just received a report from the Hospital recognition Committee of the
RCS. They are threatening to withdraw approval of our SHO posts unless we
provide on-site middle-grade cover for the night shift.
Whilst I appreciate that 24 hour middle-grade cover is desirable I doubt
whether many Departments are in a position to provide it, especially us
smaller units.
Where does the list think we stand on this one and if it comes to arguing it
out would it be best done with Faculty, BAEM, local STA or who?
Thanks,
Nick Jenkins
