Here at Cardiff we have a lovely brand new real time digital x-ray machine and
it occurred to me to get an undergraduate to x-ray a range of bones looking for
stress markers such as Harris lines.
Could anyone provide a s'tate of the art' reference for harris lines preferably
in animals For example are they more common in particular limbs; they seem to
be more common in human tibia.
There is a range of material on humans - but I can't find any systematic
studies for animals - are there any?
Also any suggestions for identifying other stress markers - e.g. dental
hypoplasia on ruminent teeth?
I have found....
