Dear All.
The dli (Durham Light Infantry Museum) has just been awarded a grant from
the HLF to refurbish it's Medal Room. As well as refurbishing existing
cases and building new ones, there will be a computer console with access
to a new medal database (also accessible via the internet).
The funding also provides for the development and production of an
education pack aimed at Key Stages Three and Four.
We are seeking educational material from other regimental museums, to give
us an idea of what people already do, and to give us some inspiration!
We are also seeking freelancers who may be interested on working on the
pack which should be completed by March 2004. At this stage we are only
seeking contacts to whom we can send out more detailed information about
the brief.
Please contact either myself or the project contact Julie Hawthorn
([log in to unmask]).
We are both based at the dli, Aykley Heads, Durham, DH1 5TU.
Tel: 0191 384 2214
Thanks,
