Apologies for cross-posting.
Dear all,
I am looking for some recommendations for individuals or groups specialising
in re-enactment of archaeological/historical periods and subjects to do some
work in late July this year. Trouble is, there are so many clubs and
societies in this area now! Can you recommend anyone with whom you have
worked or who you have employed at your site/school/amenity society?
I need half-a-dozen people for three days. The sort of thing I have in
mind is basketry, weaving, leather-work, flint-knapping, light industry and
so on. The set-up will be for members of the public to watch what's going
on, ask questions, perhaps have a go - but I'm not looking for a whole
medieval market or military re-enactment. The work will be paid, of
course, and is part of a week-long series of events and activities.
Information required at this stage by e-mail - name(s), subject/period
specialism, contact details (+ cost if available) and, ideally, some
indication of your experience working with your recommendation(s). And
preferably, as soon as possible, because this part of the budget is
time-limited!
Yours,
Katy Whitaker
