First of all, I would like to thank you - Some of you help me a lot. And now
to the more fundamental topics - The comments on Malick were very helpful.
You should know That after he graduated he actually went to germany and
spent some time with Heidegger. There are no comments on that meeting but we
can tell that it influenced a lot Malick (his decision to keep silenet is
one of the most obvious consequences). Heidegger and the politics is a
problematic issue - some of the professors in my department (Tel-Aviv
university) don't teach him because of that. BT is fundamental piece in
Western Thinking, but for myself im well aware of some of the imminent
ethical problems it contains.I think we should be very careful - because
maybe its horrible, but the "Truth" may be something that is hard to handel
with, but we should not, at any price, regard it as forbidden.
eran.
