Pre-1967 data in the CA files and New CAS Roles
CA/CAplus has nearly a century of information in electronic form. Learn
how to enhance recall to retrieve data all the way back to 1907. New CAS
roles on combinatorial studies and natural products can now be incorporated
into search strategies.
The NEWLY-RELOADED Beilstein
Beilstein has been reloaded with a new subject area focussing on
pharmacological and ecological data. Tips on how to access this
comprehensive collection of chemical substances (now totalling > 8.1
million compounds) and associated data will be given.
Subject Searching in the CA Lexicon
The CA Lexicon is a versatile tool for finding CA indexing terms for
concepts, chemical classes and taxonomic vocabulary. This session will
present an overview of how to use the Lexicon to build up comprehensive
search strategies for use in the CA and other bibliographic files on STN.
ChemPort full-text solution and the STN Site Administration Tool (SAT)
Features ChemPort and of the SAT which allow customers to administrate
access to the STN Full-text Solution will be discussed.
Licensing and Intellectual Property Ownership
This presentation will discuss techniques on how to find filed patents,
their status, reassignments and licensed technology for a specific company,
using the patents and business files on STN.
Demonstration of STN on the Web and STN Easy
New features (eg the search assistants on STN on the Web and the Patent
tool on STN Easy) will be demonstrated live.
