Learning Co-ordinator for BBC Project, Tyne and Wear (full time)
POD (£22,971 - £27,726) initially 1 year fixed term
This exciting post is funded by the Northern Rock Foundation to work closely
with the BBC and the Lifelong Learning Partnerships to encourage widening
participation in learning within communities across Tyne and Wear. Taster
sessions will be provided by tutors on the bus, followed by Information, Advice
& Guidance (IAG) and then courses created in partnership with local providers.
Based at broadcasting centre in Newcastle this role will ensure hat the
educational aspects of the project run efficiently. Applicants must be
educated to at least NVQ 4, have experience of co-ordination and project
development in a community outreach setting, well developed interpersonal and
ICT skills and an understanding of current issues within Lifelong Learning.
This is a secondment opportunity and applications will be considered from staff

Assistant Learning Co-ordinator for BBC Project, Tyne and Wear (full time)
Scale 5 (£17,265 - £18,582) initially 1 year fixed term
This person will work closely with the Learning Co-ordinator and deputise in
their absence. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining systems to
provide accurate project records, assessing potential; venues for the bus,
assisting in the development of networks to promote new partnerships and
assisting on the bus as required. Applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 3
or equivalent in a related area. Previous experience of working in a Lifelong
Learning environment would be useful.
