Schools Education Manager
Salary up to £25656 per annum
The Horniman aims to use its world-wide collections and the Gardens to
encourage a wider appreciation of the World, its peoples and their cultures,
and its environments. The Museum is in one of the most exciting phases of
its history with the recent opening of a new extension, which includes a new
Education Centre and Hands on Base.
The Horniman Museum Education Service reaches over 25,000 school children
each year. We seek a dynamic forward looking person with a passion for
teaching to take over responsibility for the development of our Education
service to primary and secondary schools. You will have an in-depth
knowledge of face to face teaching and significant experience of developing
object based learning in a museum/gallery environment, together with an
understanding of the needs of the Education sector. You will be flexible,
enthusiastic and enjoy team working.
