For Mr. Saylor,
"One has to make a choice I feel between barbarity and
civilization. I choose civilization."
Then start speaking in a civil manner, and not what you imagine to be a cleverly disguised uncivil one.
If your little story is true (unfortunately some of your verbiage works against believing it) you probably suffer somewhat from something I am familiar with, and which is visible to those who are familiar with such - the verbosity, etc. of autodidacts, and their inclinations to bear a chip on the shoulder. I am one, and I know full well - as indicated here, as a costume - that I can put on intellectuals airs, and I can as easily shift gears and say you are an asshole (or a lot worse), and if need be I can dance between it all and make a mess of you in a bar. I suspect, despite your "prole" stuff, I have lived far longer in a mode far poorer than you, and whatever - however, I am not interested in such contests.
I suggest in future you let others discern how intelligent you are, and let them talk about it.
