Hi Ruth
If you know german you could generally check out lists
on the Roman period in Germany, which should have a
lot on bones, and some on bone work including
whistles.
German archaeologists/zooarchaeologists such as
Amberger, Mostefa Kokabi, Björn Schlenker has worked
on this, in Baden-Württemberg. I have some of their
literature lists, somewhere in the basement, which I
could email you, when I find them, and get my scanner
running. I it not palaeolithic, but technically it is
close.
