Schools Education Officer
Salary up to £21500 per annum
The Horniman aims to use its world-wide collections and the Gardens to
encourage a wider appreciation of the World, its peoples and their cultures,
and its environments. The Museum is in one of the most exciting phases of
its history with the recent opening of a new extension, which includes a new
Education Centre and Hands on Base.
The Horniman Museum Education Service reaches over 25,000 school children
each year. We seek a person with a passion for teaching to help provide our
Education service to primary and secondary schools. You will have a degree
or equivalent qualification together with three years' classroom or museum
teaching experience which will have incorporated working with children
within the age range 4-16 years.
