The National Debate on Education
The Scottish Executive has invited organisations to assist in the
consultation process for the National Debate on Education. There are two
free events taking place in the Education centre, Royal Museum.
June 6 "Alternative strategies to education."
Guest speakers from Glasgow City Council Education Department,The
Schoolhouse Home Education Association and NMS Education team will lead the
debate on different ways of educating children to suit their particular
needs.
Time 10.30 - 12.30
June 7 "Cultural Identity in Education"
Guest speakers from the City of Edinburgh Council Community Education, the
Council for Racial Equality in Scotland and the Gaelic community (to be
confirmed) will lead the debate on cultural diversity and personal identity.
