PRESENTATION SKILLS

This one-day workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their
presentation skills and to learn techniques for managing nerves and building
confidence.
Participants will learn what makes a good presentation, and have the
opportunity to practise making a presentation and using visual aids in an
informal, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
BY THE END OF THE EVENT PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
* explain the purpose of presentations
* identify what to include and what not to include in a presentation
* prepare effectively for a presentation
* list the ground rules for using visual aids and the advantages and
disadvantages of such aids
* choose the appropriate visual aid for the presentation
* use flipcharts, OHPs, Powerpoint, and props effectively
* deliver a presentation effectively
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM ATTENDING?
This course is for people who have some experience of delivering
presentations and who want to develop their skills and ability in this area.
SPECIAL NOTES
To get the most from the course it is essential for participants to practise
their skills and receive feedback in a safe environment. Participants will
therefore need to do some preparation before the course and come ready to
give a very brief presentation.
