medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
There are more precise discussions of this and of course critiques of the
older work but Chenu's _Nature, Man, and Society in the Twelfth Century_
treats the issue Pseudo-Dionysian exegesis and Hugh and the Chartrians and
the second volume of Henri de Lubac's _Exegese Medievale_ also treats this
issue.
