Dear Arin,
Greetings from Al-Ain the oasis city of the Middle East. This is a belated
response to the posting on your proposed EMB seminar. Depending on the
length of the seminar you can vary the program from a slide show on EBM to
running real hands on critical appraisal.
From my very limited experience on presenting EBM seminars to various target
groups I would suggest the following.
1) Give an introductory talk on EBM using the CEBM slides (you could modify
the slides to suit your audience). If you are interested you could access
one of my power point presentations on EBM from the web at
http://www.uaeu.ac.ae/jscan/EBM/grandround/ppt/
2) It is always helpful to show that it is possible to search for evidence
and apply it in their practice. If I were you I will show them how to search
using the clinical quries function in Pubmed and the free full text access
to Cochrane data base on the web.
3) I will ask the audience to frame focussed clinical questions and try to
search for answers from Cochrane or the primary literature and run a live
demo.
Last week I was a facilitator at a regional EBM workshop and we put together
a web page on searching which might be of some interest to you

I am sure the members of our list will share their wisdom with you which
will enable you to do a commendable job. All the very best in your efforts.
Cheers and regards,
Badri
