Early last month I asked if anyone on the list had some useful references to
bayesian stats for the un/under-initiated. Others have asked if I could
summarise the responses. Many thanks to the following people for providing
information.
Ben Toth suggested Science and Reasoning by Howson and Urbach has some
sections that may be relevant, but I was unable to access this.
Ben Cooper told me an article in BMJ, Speigelhalter DJ et al. An
introduction to Bayesian methods in health technology assessment. BMJ 1999;
319: 508-512. http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/319/7208/508
Ali Round informed me of the NHS HTA report on Bayesian methods (Vol 4,
Report No 38)at the HTA website - http://www.hta.nhsweb.nhs.uk/
