Message from Jane Ferrie. Please reply to Jane, not me.
For several years now Jane has arranged the printing and done the
envelope stuffing and mailing of the Radstats newsletter. In the last
couple of years she has occassionally had some paid help, but the
last two mailings she has done single handed. She is now unwilling
to continue doing this unless she can be assured of some help.
What is required are volunteers who could guarantee to come to
UCL for 2-3 hours 3 - 4 times a year at a time mutually convenient
anyone else involved in the mailshot. The alternative is for the
mailshot to be processed elsewhere. The advantage of it remaining
at UCL is that the process is now as streamined as possible; the
booklets no longer have to fetched from the printers, we have self-
seal envelopes which are ordered internally, and UCL franks the
mailshot for us - no more ordering of stamps, sticking them on and
then traipsing round London looking for empty pillar boxes.
However, if anyone feels they would like to take over the whole
task, please do not hesitate.
