Dear Andy
Your wish is my command ....
there will be a SciBAr on Thursday 5 April, at a venue to be confirmed, in
Edinburgh. The Roslin Insitute's Ian Wilmut will lead a discussion on
ethical issues raised by cloning. I shall post further information to the
list as soon as I have a confirmed venue.
There is also the 'Cafe Scientifique: Talking science in the city of
Oxford', for further information check out their website at

best wishes

Andy's asked me to post this to the list - a system and network upgrade has
left him without access to psci-com.

From Andy Boddington:
About sciBArs
I welcome the sciBArs. But what chance of a sciBAr in Oxford, Sheffield,
Edinburgh, Belfast, Bubrooke, Bywell or Bicester? It is a common problem
with organisations based in London that they think it is the centre of
Britain and representative of it. But even looking from just 50 miles north,
it is very different out here. So perhaps the BA should move out and bring
the sciBAr to what some politicians call "the regions" but I just call home?
