Attention all science communicators with interests in history of science:
The British Society for the History of Science invites nominations for the
2001 Dingle Prize. £300 will be awarded to the best book in the history of
science (broadly construed) published in English between January 1998 and
December 2000, which is accessible to a wide audience of non-specialists.
Nominations should be sent to the secretary, Dr Sally Horrocks, Department
of Economic and Social History, University of Leicester, Leicester, LE1 7RH,
