You are in one sense right. My suggestion is "core". Then you can build
up around the core as your heart desires. There are no limits as to how
much you can add as bordering up to design. It is not limited to
psychology and perception as several works (Clark in particular) claim
that perception, cognition and action are intimately connected. So I
would rather label this as "design as action" theory. That also means
that design as action is embedded, physically, culturally and socially
in contexts. The list of readings do not, however, include theories
about particular contexts, but that is easy to remedy.
