GEM National Training Day Monday 25 June 2000
This day will provide an insight into developing Museum learning using the
Web and demonstrate how all Museum audiences can benefit from Web learning
provision.
Speakers will address issues such as:
What is online learning?
Who is online learning for?
And what are the characteristics of web learning materials?
Through case studies of good practice the day will also investigate
opportunities for partnerships and funding projects for the web. Specific
consideration will be given to the challenges and opportunities in managing
Web projects and how to get online learning provision started with a Museum.
There will be an update on current government on-line learning initiatives
for the museum and formal education sector.
