Copus has relaunched its grant schemes to support interactive projects to
engage people with the contemporary issues and ideas linked with science,
technology, engineering, maths and medicine.
Copus grants are awarded under three schemes:
National Science Week grants: up to £3,000 to support activities that take
place during this national celebration of science (8-17 March 2002).
Deadline for applications: 10 October 2001.
Seed grants: up to £3,000 to pump prime local activities that take place
throughout the year.
Deadline for applications: 14 December 2001.
Development grants: up to £20,000/year, for a max of 2 years, to support
large-scale engagement activities to establish projects that continue beyond
the duration of the grant.
Deadline for applications: 14 December 2001.
Copus is able to fund a broad range of projects. For this grant round,
Copus is particularly interested in supporting high quality applications
that include some or all of the following elements:
+ Projects that target clearly defined audiences, or that employ novel
methods of reaching new audiences
+ Projects that qualify for Science Year branding
+ Projects that involve public dialogue
+ Projects that involve collaboration with other individuals/organisations
