The Multimedia Team Ltd is an enterprise company of the
National Museums of Scotland. We have a proven
international track record of award winning multimedia
production for museums, galleries and education. Our
programs are content rich and educationally accessible.
We are currently seeking to appoint two new editors to work
in our content development section. The successful
candidates will work with our clients and authors to select,
organise and structure rich media resources. They will
network with clients and resource providers to ensure that
our program production teams have the necessary structured
text and media resources.
Applicants must therefore be visually and textually
literate, with a good knowledge of the educational use of
information rich digital products. They must possess
excellent communication skills and be competent in the use
of databases to manage text and images for publication.
They must enjoy being in a creative team environment while
working to a deadline
They will probably be educated to degree level in an object
based subject, such as Fine Art, History, Archaeology, the
Environmental or Earth Sciences.
Previous experience in research, publishing, tourism or the
heritage industries would be of value.
The Multimedia Team operates offices in Edinburgh and
Dingwall. We are expecting to appoint one Content Editor to
each office.
It may be possible to negotiate part-time or flexible
working arrangements according to personal circumstances.
The contract will be for six months to one year in the first
instance.
Salary will be around £15,000 per annum pro rata.
