GEM (North East) and the Campaign for Learning in Museums & Galleries (clmg),
this year's Regional Education Conference will focus on the wide variety of
recent lifelong learning initiatives that have taken place in cultural venues
in the region. The outcome of work supported by DfES will be explored and
examples of good practice from libraries, archives, museums and arts
organisations in the region will also be examined. Titus Alexander, one of the
UK's leading authorities on family learning, will give the keynote speech and
facilitate the afternoon workshops. The day will also aim to improve networks,
increase collaboration at local and sub-regional levels, and develop lifelong
learning strategies and practices at your venue.
