Dear all,
I have taken over the reins of the GEM Journal from Emma Hawthorne and I am
now beginning to put together the first issue under my editoriship.
It was agreed at the last GEM committee meeting that the broad theme for
the next issue will be cross-domain working (i.e. museums, libraries and
archives working together).
If any body out there is prepared to write a piece on this subject of about
1000 words, either from a purely theoretical point of view or using case
studies backed up by theory then please let me know.
Also if you can think of anybody who might make a contribution and probably
does not belong to this list, then again let me know. I will be contacting
the librarians and archivists to get their perspective on this whole issue.
I will also be contacting museums in the USA and Australia for their angle
on this.
All contributions should be with me by the end of August.
As I anticipate being over-whelmed with offers please reply off-list.
Best wishes,
Colin Hynson
