A quick technical question . . .
What electronic database do you use to manage data from audience research?
I'm embarking on an audience study that involves the collection of both
quantitative information (demographics, length of visit, money spent,
etc.) AND qualitative information (evaluation of visitor experience,
attitudes & expectations, sources of satisfaction/dissatisfaction, etc.).
In the past I've used the NUD*IST software program (SAGE 1997) for the
coding and retrieval of data. It is pretty good but fairly complex and I'm
planning to involve volunteers in the data entry.
What is your experience using electronic databases for audience studies?
What software works well for the organization and analysis of quantitative
and/or qualitative data? Please be as specific as possible.
(I will be happy to share any responses with the list.)
Thanks!
