Dear Jane,
You (and anyone else in the same situation!) may wish to consider joining
IMTAL-Europe, the International Museum Theatre Alliance, a registered
charity created to support networking within the live interpretation/museum
theatre world. Members can circulate their live interpretation and museum
theatre requirements quickly around our e-list, an easy way of spreading the
word among existing suppliers and users of museum theatre and live
interpretation.
IMTAL's growing membership includes museums like the Science Museum and the
Natural History Museum and other organisations such as the Royal Aromouries
and the National Trust who regularly use theatre and live interpretation, as
well as many individual enactors and companies. Our new and updated
directory will include scenario and script details cross-referenced to our
membership so that you know exactly who does what and where they are based.

Subject: Victorian & Medieval performers/re-enactors
Can anybody reccomend good individuals or groups to perform and lead
activities in galleries? I'm looking to populate our Medieval and 19th
century galleries (on seperate occasions) and am looking for musicians,
singers, performers, street entertainers, buskers, hawkers, official and
unofficial street life of all kinds to lead drop-in type activities, perform
or talk informally with a large family based audience at weekends and during
the week.
If you know of or have used anybody you can reccomed I'd be very grateful
for the leads.
Many thanks,
Jane
