Hi there
My name is Jana Cameron and I work as a freelance in museums doing
interpretative/education work.
I am volunteering at Wood Grange Infants School from the beginning of the
summer term (one day a week) in order to gain up to date classroom
experience. The Head Teacher, Denny Stephenson, is interested in a project
that I mentioned to her which I had seen mentioned on the GEM list. This
was a project where children were lent cameras to take photos of their local
area, I think, in order to compare them with old photographs.
I remember that the e-mail mentioned that being entrusted with the cameras
meant that the children's sense of responsibility flourished and so did
their commitment to the project.
Can anyone remember this project? It would be great to contact the person
who sent this information to the GEM list.
Thank you!
