Yep, and Robin Vowels and myself have already commented similarly. The
obvious and simplest is often the best, and probably most efficient -- KISS.
I like much of F90/F95, mainly the vector notation and new intrinsics, but am
impervious to much that I can see experts using. I shall probably see little
in the next compiler generation to fall in love with. I'm a dinosaur (mainly
technical programming since the mid '60's) and see OO as a fad and an
overhead to what my users want as fast results -- better algorithms, tighter
code and better compiler optimisations. KISS, KISS, KISS.
