Also, I am not a fan of make and recursive make calls, and rather use make++
(makepp), which is public-domain and not GNU, but very nice in some respects. So a
simple scheme which produces clean and complete (correct) dependency graphs that
do not rely on GNU make's behaviour are preferred, even if I have to type a few
more lines in the makefile.
