ICOM-CECA 2002 IN NAIROBI
The National Museums of Kenya are pleased to announce that the ICOM CECA
conference will be held in Nairobi Museum from 30th September – 4th
October 2002. The theme of the conference is “Museum as a Product: who
is buying”? The conference will attempt to explore the challenge of
museum education in the 21st millennium. This will include developing
museum programmes, financing and the ethical issues related to the
programmes, among others.
You are all invited to participate in this conference where eminent
scholars in museum education will be sharing their thoughts. It will be
the first CECA conference in this millennium, taking place in a country
that many of us believe is the origin of man. Come and experience this
environment that nurtured early man and is home to a large variety of
wildlife such as elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards and buffaloes that
dominate a section of the Great Rift Valley of Africa.
