ECSITING PROJECT MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY!
The Science and Discovery Centre Network and the British Association
for the Advancement of Science are launching a national network of science
discovery clubs, with Science Year funding for the 6-month pilot phase.
Are you:
* an effective manager -- to support teacher-led science
clubs, BA regional officers and science-centre programme staff to develop
media-attractive events and mega-lab experiments?
* an IT strategist -- to support the web co-ordinator in
management of information in the www.Think.com learning environment, and to
integrate this with the BA website?
* a self-starter -- to work largely on your own initiative to
give this project form, structure and media profile, and every chance of
attracting further funding?
* working freelance, or looking for a six-month secondment
from your current position?
If so, the role of Science Discovery Clubs Network Manager might be
for you.
The position offers a unique opportunity to lead a flagship Science
Year project and lay the foundations for its national roll-out in 2002. It
is full-time, for a fixed term of 6 months. Annual salary: £20k pro rata
The person to be appointed will report to the Executive Director of
ECSITE-UK. Relocation is not required: Club Network partners are scattered
all around England, and contact will be largely by phone and email from your
present desk.
To apply, send your CV and covering letter to:
Dr Melanie Quin
