Has anyone heard of a St. Guidon, or St. Widon? I came across an
illumination of him in a Book of Hours (Flemish-made, post 1430s) last
summer when doing an internship at Syracuse University's Dept. of Special
Collections. He looks like St. Isidore (farmer with rake, fields in the
background, bag worn across shoulders, and if I recall, he was also sowing
seeds). I found reference to a St. Guy (in a dictionary of saints--I don't
have the citation handy at this moment) who fits his description. I'd be
interested if there is any reference to him in the Acta Sanctorum or
elsewhere.
