Interpretation Officer
The Museum of London is the world,s largest city museum. The Interpretation Unit plays a key role in the Museum,s mission to inspire a passion for London working with the widest possible audiences.
We are seeking to appoint an Interpretation Officer to provide expertise in exhibition-based interpretation, especially in the use of different media to engage audiences. The post holder will contribute to the Museum,s web site, plan and deliver events appealing to a culturally diverse audience and spearhead the Museum,s contribution to the National Grid for Learning. Key tasks include providing expertise in the electronic delivery of information, managing evaluation and ensuring that the needs of varying audiences are considered in building developments & temporary exhibitions.
Successful applicants should have a first degree and excellent communication & IT skills. You should also have 3+ years experience in a museum and/or heritage site which should include interpretation and web/mulitmedia experience. Salary commences £20,475 pa inclusive.
