Subject: RE: Analyses on non ideal samples.
When I consult a professional, I want the guidance of a wise man, not the
obedience of a fool. Are we professionals or not? If we are not regarded as,
and do not behave as, professionals then what does "today's NHS" regard us
as?

My knee-jerk reaction would be cannon-fodder but on reflection (brief) I think Veal calves would be the best example of what our managers think of us: Dim animals, to be kept crated up in as narrow a field as possible, thereby ensuring we cannot turnaround or do anything awkward; and if you are really cynical, kept with the aim of fattening up for sale to the private sector - but I don't thnk any politician would be able to face that prospect thankfully.
