Dear all
On «Gordon's theme» don't forget that most doctors have illegible
signatures! Even when we are considering other prescriptions and not only
biochemistry tests. And nobody thinks of having antibiotics prescribed by
none medical staff or surgery "by appointment" of nurses, "in spite of the
illegible signatures". And surely there are ways of turning the "illegible"
in legible!!! For example with a catalogue...
The point is in the difference between theory and reality, concerning tests
requests. In theory requests should be made by medical staff, but in the
real world who is doing that? And should we follow the trend? For me the
answer is no!
And concerning who is advising patients on results...it's always
risky....and off course TV, papers and the web also advise a lot!!
