In the course of helping to construct a Radstats website I made a list of
articles published in Radical Statistics or in the book Statistics and
Society which fell within the subject heading of ethnic, cultural and race
issues.
I hope that this list indicates to all that Radstats is capable of debating
what seems to be statistically a far from straightforward area. You will
note ambivalence towards statistics is expressed even in some of the titles.
This list goes back just to David Drew, Fosam and Gilborn of Radical
Statistics 60 of Spring/Summer 1995, 'Race, IQ and the Underclass: Don't
believe the hype'. Malcolm William drew attention to this article in his
message of 4 February. I've emailed David Drew and might be able to post a
copy of that article to the list.
But Radstats have produced earlier publications in the area, notably,
Britains Black Population 1980 and 1990(?).
