Dear All,
I'm working on the animal bones from a medieval farm in southern Sweden.
The assemblage contains more than 37 000 bones from Bufonidae
and Ranidae. They were found in various contexts such as the farm yard,
floors, wall trenches, post holes and cultural debris layers.
The bones were deposited in contexts that were in use throughout the
habitation
of the farm.
I would be interested to learn about similar finds and references as well
as any literature on how to differentiate the toad and frog species.
Best wishes
Britt-Marie
