Dear Henriette and all fellow hare-carers,
A quick check in the litrature from Hungary showed no particular presence of articulated
skeletal parts or any other sign that would be considered "ritual". However, given the size of
hare bones one may also reckon with a certain degree of recovery bias. Hare seems to be
almost omnipresent at larger prehistoric sites, but mostly represented by only a few individual
bones even in rather large (NISP over 3000) hand-collected assemblages.
But I will keep my eyes open now.
Best wishes, Laszlo
