Kevin,
In theory there should be no problem passing on assignments, as far as
I'm aware, as long as all identifying characteristics about the
student have been removed.
However, we do not give access to the assignments on the rare
occasions that requests come through. Assessing the minor source
matches should give a good indication of the source that 'your'
student is more likely to have used, rather than them knowing a
student in another institution and copying their work . Students use
common reading lists, the top ten hits in a Google search and so the
same material matches. Tii might pick the student assignment as the
major match, but only because two students have equally poorly
referenced/ paraphrased the original/ publicly available source- or at
least that is how I see it.
I hope that helps.
